On Wednesday, Thierry Henry witnessed Spain’s strength from nearby as France were taught a footballing lesson by the reigning European Champions.

France were defeated 2-0 at their own ground and Henry conceded that La Furia Roja were on another planet.

“With Barcelona, I am not used to running after the ball,” Henry told Marca.

“Spain, along with Brazil, are the favourites for the World Cup. They remind me of the French team of some years ago.

“We saw one team that can win the World Cup, and another that has a lot of work to do.”
